I have chosen the music videos of Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park, Game of Death by The Gorillaz and All Together Now by The Beatles which are all made of animation. The video Breaking the Habit shows the present life if the twenty-first century. The problems like committing suicide, adultery and crimes that couldn’t be solved. The video shows a man lying in a curled up on a car's roof. The car has been surrounded by a crowd. The man is dead having fallen from a roof top of a building as police are investigating the reason for the fall. Then the video focuses on some other scenes like people in the act of depression or frustration because of their unfortunate life. There is a smoke that moves around and Chester Bennington's face can be seen around in various scenes. Then the video goes into a rewind. The dead body goes upwards and lands on the roof of a tall building. Its is revealed that the it was Chester Bennington who "died". Its on the roof that Chester joins the other band members. While Shinoda's rapping is absent in the song he seen playing a piano. Whether Chester's fatal fall was accidental or suicidal is not clarified but the lyrics of the song probably imply a suicide.
The Video Game of Death also shows a Real life situation. People manipulating other people and using them for fun. The video Game of Death by the Gorillaz shows the fictional animated guitarist, Noodle dueling against Russel (The drummer).Noodle taking on a pack of thugs while dressed in the tracksuit and imitating Bruce Lee's fighting style while 2D the Vocalist and Murdoc the Bass playing them in a video game. It was inspired by Bruce Lee’s movie Game of Death.
The Video All Together Now is a psychedelic video. A product of imagination of the human mind. People dressed in colorful clothing while inside a floating yellow submarine. The video All Together Now, also appears in an animated sequence in the film Yellow Submarine, and is introduced by The Beatles themselves in a script to the film.
Personally, I have chosen the video Breaking the Habit of Linkin Park because it contains lessons so that our generation may be more aware and responsible when dealing with difficult situations like having an affair with a committed person. My advise is we should face our own problems and mistakes in life.
